Rohingya camps are lockdown under district administration- RRRC

All Rohingya refugee camps are under lockdown located in Teknaf and Ukhia thana by the declaration of Cox’s Bazar District Magistrate. The refugee relief and repatriation Commissioner (RRCC-senior continuous secretary) Md. Mahbub Alam Talukder confirmed about the information. Md Mahbub Alam Talukder also said that the District Administrator and District Magistrate officially announced a Lockdown in cox’s bazar district, that’s mean the entire geographical area of the district is to be lockdown. On 8th April, Magistrate Mohammad Kamal Hossain announced lockdown the whole cox’s bazar district that’s mean there is no need to declare separate lockdown in the Rohingya refugee camps. Besides, the lockdown announced by consultation with District Magistrate Mohammad Mohammad Kamal Hossain and all senior officers of Cox’s Bazar. RRRC Md. Mahbub Alam Talukder also said that the RRRC is already sent all necessary dictates to comply with all the restrictions of the 34 Rohingya refugee camps. He said that in the refugee camps to prevent the virus infection, before there was a lot of restraint and limited-formed activities like a lockdown at all 34 camps
